Hours of Work: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Term Time

Pay: £85-£100 per day

Location: Brent

About the role:

As a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant, your role will focus on providing booster sessions and targeted interventions to help children achieve their full potential. You’ll be working closely with students who may need extra support in key areas like literacy and numeracy, assisting those with special educational needs, and supporting classroom teachers to create an inclusive learning environment. This is a rewarding role where you’ll make a tangible difference in students’ learning journeys, helping them overcome challenges and build their confidence. This part-time role offers flexibility and variety, allowing you to support students both in small groups and on a one-to-one basis. You’ll collaborate with teachers to adapt learning materials and assist in lesson planning to ensure all students can access the curriculum.

Application Requirements:

• Experience working with children in a classroom or educational setting.

• A strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.

• A passion for education and a desire to make a difference in the lives of young learners.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.

• A patient, empathetic approach, particularly when supporting students with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver small group and one-on-one interventions for Key Stage 2 students to help close learning gaps.

• Provide support for students with special educational needs, ensuring they have the right tools and resources to succeed.

• Assist class teachers with lesson preparation, classroom management, and adapting materials for different learning styles.

• Monitor and assess students’ progress, giving feedback to teachers and helping to adjust intervention strategies as needed.

• Foster a positive, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment where students feel supported and confident in their abilities.
