Your New Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for Permanent Crown Damage Administrator to join our Claims team in Polmadie, Glasgow. This role offers hybrid working, 3 days working in the office and 2 days at home.

The Crown Damage Administrator plays an important role alongside existing team members in providing a wide range of administrative support services within our Transport Infrastructure division.

The shift pattern is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30am to 4:30pm, offering flexibility.

This role would suit a candidate who has previous experience of working in a business support / administration role and be comfortable with Microsoft Office.

You will be responsible for:

* Undertake general ‘team’ administrative duties

* Incident investigation – reviewing records of damage to Crown property

* Responsible party identification – liaising with other agencies and third parties

* Maintain and update records in spreadsheets, databases, Client systems in an orderly manner

* Credit / cost control – liaising and negotiating with insurance companies, solicitors and loss adjusters, supported by the Assistant Commercial Manager

* Handling of third-party damage claims received, referring to operational teams within the business for further investigation, liaising with third party claimants and issuing written responses in line with contractual obligations

We want to hear from you if are/have:

* Customer Service and/or administration experience

* Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft office packages, especially Word/Excel

* Able to develop and maintain good working relationships

* Previous experience supporting a wider team/business

* Good investigatory skills, and an excellent eye for detail

* Quick thinker, with good analytic mind

* Commercial awareness

* Driving licence would be preferred

It would be desirable if you have previous experience in an insurance or claims, however not essential as full training will be provided to bring you up to speed.
