Salary £37,000, DOE
We are seeking a Multi Skilled Engineering Technician to join our client’s dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven technician, with expertise in electrical and mechanical disciplines, to take on a key role in maintaining and optimising production machinery and equipment in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
The Role As an Engineering Technician, you’ll be responsible for both reactive and preventative maintenance, ensuring that site machinery is running smoothly and efficiently. You’ll work a 40-hour week on a rotating double shift pattern.
You will be working in a collaborative team environment where you will not only maintain equipment but also identify areas for improvement and play an integral part in continuous improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
Perform planned and reactive maintenance on automated machinery.
Document all maintenance work using a computerised maintenance management system.
Provide technical advice, support during breakdowns, and improving maintenance practices.
Develop and execute preventative maintenance plans to minimise downtime, breakdowns and enhance machinery efficiency.
Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring team members are trained on new processes.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and food safety regulations, including BRC standards.
Support continuous improvement projects and the creation of Safe Working Procedures within the Engineering Department. Ideal Requirements
NVQ Level 3 multi-skilled apprenticeship (electrically biased).
Experience working with PLC and SCADA control systems (Mitsubishi, Siemens, Rockwell, Fanuc).
FMCG experience, ideally within the food sector, (desirable).
Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing techniques is advantageous. Benefits
