Job Description
Think FE is searching for a Welding Instructor at a prominent further education college in Middlesbrough. This role focuses on delivering hands-on training and assessments for students across Levels 1, 2, and 3 in the college’s welding workshops.
All lesson plans are pre-prepared, enabling the instructor to concentrate on supervising and guiding approximately 16 students per session. The role is based entirely at the college, with no travel required.
About the Role:
Deliver practical training and assess learners on various welding techniques.
Oversee sessions to ensure student progress and competence.
Support the development of skills-based learning for students in a workshop setting. Candidate Requirements:
Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Welding/Fabrication.
Teaching qualification (or willingness to attain one upon appointment).
GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or above), or a commitment to achieve.
Willingness to complete mandatory training relevant to the role. What is on offer?
A salary of £24,297 - £29,212 per annum.
Generous holiday entitlement of 30 days + Bank holidays and Christmas closure.
