Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our client in Basildon.
Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Design Engineer:
Produce electrical drawings and panel layouts, along with supporting documentation such as Bill of Materials, Component Lists, Cable Schedules, and Terminal Rail Layouts.
Assist in the ongoing transition from AutoCAD to EPLAN, collaborating with the Automation Department to standardise methods and drawing practices.
Ensure electrical drawings are updated promptly throughout the project lifecycle and shared with relevant departments.
Maintain a database of preferred electrical devices to ensure consistency across projects.Personal Attributes:
A systematic, detail-oriented approach to work.
Flexibility and curiosity, with a desire to learn and adapt to new areas.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and shop floor staff.
Strong commitment to improving and developing their area of expertise.Essential Experience & Knowledge for this Electrical Design Engineer position:
Formal Electrical Engineering qualification (e.g., apprenticeship).Desirable Experience & Knowledge:
In-depth knowledge of EPLAN P8 and Pro Panel 3D.
EPLAN Certified Engineer (ECE) qualification.
Familiarity with automated production machinery or similar capital equipment.
Experience working in a project environment with cross-functional teams.Salary:
£40,000 - £45,000
