Hours of Work: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Term Time

Pay: £85-£100 per day

Location: Hackney

Job Type: Full Time, Long Term

About the role:

As an SEN TA specializing in Challenging Behaviours, you will work closely with children across Key Stages 1 and 2, providing one-to-one support and group assistance to pupils with behavioural difficulties. Your role will be to help them navigate their educational journey, offering emotional and behavioural support, while creating a safe and encouraging environment for them to learn.

You’ll work in collaboration with class teachers, SEN coordinators, and external professionals, ensuring that each child receives a tailored educational experience that meets their specific needs. Your expertise in handling challenging behaviours will be critical in helping these students engage with their learning and achieve their full potential.

Application Requirements:

• Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with challenging behaviours.

• A strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques.

• Patience, empathy, and resilience in working with pupils who may exhibit complex behaviours.

• The ability to build positive relationships with both pupils and staff.

• A passion for making a real difference in the lives of children with SEN.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with behavioural challenges, helping them develop coping strategies and improve social skills.

• Work one-on-one with pupils, offering both academic and emotional support.

• Assist teachers in implementing behaviour management plans tailored to individual student needs.

• Foster positive relationships with students, helping to build their confidence and self-esteem.

• Monitor and report on student progress, providing feedback to SENCOs, teachers, and parents.
