Our Vacancy

We are seeking a skilled and qualified Electrician to join our team at eSmart Networks. Specializing in the installation of 50kW to 350kW electric vehicle charging infrastructure, battery storage, and renewable energy installations across the UK we are offering an excellent opportunity to enter the highly sought-after renewable energy and EV industries.

So what will you be doing?

Delivering exceptional service to both internal and external customers, the successful candidate will use their technical expertise to install and maintain EV charging infrastructure and other electrical systems. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Installing EV chargers ranging from 7kW to 350kW.
  • Installing electrical distribution equipment and substation packages.
  • Assisting with project planning and liaising with the operations manager.
  • Fault finding and diagnosing issues in 3-phase and single-phase electrical systems.
  • Organizing materials for dedicated projects and ensuring van stock is kept updated.
  • Uploading all necessary certification for your allocated projects in a timely manner.
  • Conducting technical site surveys for AC/DC charging network installations.
  • Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems while adhering to all statutory and legal requirements.
  • Testing electrical installations to ensure safety and effectiveness.
  • Reporting all accidents, incidents, near misses, and non-conformances to our health and safety department.
  • Working according to onsite Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and ensuring timely return of paperwork to our delivery department.
  • Adhering to onsite design drawings and specifications.

The Person

To excel in this role, the successful candidate must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • 18th Edition certification.
  • City & Guilds 2357 or equivalent NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
  • City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent in Inspection & Testing.
  • City & Guilds 2919 (desirable but not essential).
  • EUSR/ECS Affiliated cards.
  • SSSTS (desirable but not essential).
  • Strong knowledge of 3-phase and single-phase electrical systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical design and installation.
  • Ability to work to design drawings and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety at work.
  • Excellent knowledge of BS7671 - supply requirements, installation requirements, protection requirements, and the IET Code of Practice.
  • Team player with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
