Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant to join our Reception team at a school in Barnet. Due to increasing student numbers and ratio requirements, we are looking for an extra pair of hands to support the class and ensure a high standard of care and education for our young learners.

Grades: Reception to Year 6
Resources and facilities: The school has a range of excellent facilities including modern classrooms, a large playground, a multi-use games area, a well-equipped library, ICT suite, and dedicated spaces for music and art. The school promotes outdoor learning and has ample green spaces, including a nature garden. Additionally, the school supports children with special educational needs (SEN) and has appropriate resources for inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting the classroom teacher with daily activities and managing the learning environment.
* Delivering phonics sessions and leading small group sessions.
* Assisting with the supervision and care of children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
* Helping maintain the correct child-to-adult ratio as per regulations.
Requirements:
* Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification in Early Years or equivalent.
* Experience in early years education, particularly with delivering phonics and leading group activities.
* Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work as part of a team.
This is a full-time, onsite role based in Barnet (N12).
