Junior / Mid-level Furniture Consultant
(Commercial Interiors Sector)
£30,000 - £45,000p.a. DOE

Reports to Head of Furniture
ABOUT THE ROLE
This position involves working in a fast-paced, collaborative sales environment. It requires experience in the commercial interiors industry, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and accurately. The successful candidate will contribute to the entire project process, from bid preparation and pricing to customer service and product specification, all while maintaining calm under pressure.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales & Procurement:
- Generate project quotations
- Assist with product specification
- Source and research solutions for specific project needs
- Communicate with manufacturers about product specifications and pricing
- Support the sales team with information, prices, and mock-up details for new clients
- Collect fabric samples for projects
- Ensure order accuracy in coordination with the administrative team
- Attend industry events and trade shows to stay updated on the latest trends
- Research new manufacturers for product specifications
- Support the sales team by attending client meetings
- Participate in internal and external training on sustainability and product circularity
Project Management:
- Manage project meetings and documentation independently
- Track budgets and timelines
- Coordinate deliveries with dealers or end-users
- Conduct site surveys
- Manage installation teams and oversee their work on-site
- Address customer issues, including snagging and shortages
- Develop strong technical knowledge of client products
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Prior experience in the furniture industry is preferred
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
- Ability to learn on the job and work both independently and in a team
- Effective time management and initiative
- Calm demeanour in high-pressure situations
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CAD drawings
