Internal Utility 2 Operator

Purpose of the Job: The Utility 2 Operator is responsible for ensuring high-quality customer service to both internal and external customers while operating and maintaining advanced machinery. Minimum Requirements: Educational Qualifications: Grade 12 N4 or equivalent trade/artisan qualification Experience: 5 years in an automated factory environment Proficient in operating hi-tech machinery Comprehensive knowledge of processes and QMS systems Key Responsibilities: Machinery Management: Set up, operate, and maintain various automatic and semi-automatic machines, including plate enveloping, COS, Shorts Testing, TTP welding, heat sealing, leak testing, and date coding machines, according to supplier manuals. Ensure production quality meets standards and production rates. Maintain cleanliness and safety of equipment and extraction systems. Administration and Record Keeping: Complete job cards, production logs, and quality control data as per assembly work instructions. Communication: Engage with suppliers, customers, and internal teams through written and oral communication. Quality Assurance: Uphold professional standards and halt any processes that do not meet quality requirements. Auxiliary Activities: Support other departments and participate in safety audits as needed. Essential Knowledge and Skills: Familiarity with the OSH Act and AutoX processes. Technical proficiency in machinery operations. Attributes: Assertive, self-confident, flexible, resilient, objective, analytical, systematic, and customer-focused.
