We're currently recruiting for a number of Team Managers to join the team on Fixed Term Contracts of various lengths.
Responsibilities
We make journeys easier and safer. We're using technology and data to help more people move around London. Our teams are managing everything from a bus fleet of 9,300 vehicles to 402km of Tube network, the Santander Cycles and Cycleways to London's red route roads which includes 6,000 sets of traffic lights. We're currently recruiting for a number of Team Managers to join the team on Fixed Term Contracts of various lengths.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a consistent, safe, efficient and cost-effective delivery of services within contractual performance levels and obligations
- Adhere to and promote Capita values and abide by the leadership standard and Capita management commitments
- Actively manage and develop direct reports through effective use of the performance management lifecycle, providing effective 1-2-1's, coaching, SMART objectives, appraisals and training • Proactively identify areas for development and manage non-achievement through the use of Capita's absence/performance management process
- Be available as a decision maker in the escalation process
- Responsible for developing and maintaining a team culture and staff motivation, that maximises team working and cooperation
- Communicate effectively with individuals and the team for example through regular and ad hoc team meetings to ensure awareness of relevant issues, changes, sharing and celebrating successes etc
- Experience of managing people with the ability to build and lead teams within a Service environment
- Good understanding/experience of business processes
- Understanding of current Health and Safety, data protection legislation and quality policies
- Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good PC skills, including knowledge of Word, Excel and e-mail
- Ability to work under own initiative within a team based environment
- Ability to work in pressurised environment to tight deadlines - prioritise
