We’re thrilled to partner with an exceptional SEN school in Welwyn Garden City, looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in helping students with a variety of needs, including Moderate Learning Difficulties, Specific Learning Disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and more. You'll also provide essential support to those facing highly complex challenges, such as cerebral palsy and other sensory or physical impairments.

SEN Teaching Assistant Additional Information:
Hours: Monday - Friday (09:00 - 15:30)
Salary: £83 - £90 Inclusive of 12.07% Holiday Pay
Contract: Temp - Perm, Full-time (40 hrs per week, term time only)
Location: Welwyn Garden City
Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities of a SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Student Support: Build warm, caring relationships to create a safe and enjoyable learning environment.
- Promote Independence: Encourage personal growth and maintain high expectations of behaviour.
- Educational Activities: Assist in delivering engaging and differentiated learning experiences.
- Classroom Assistance: Support the Class Teacher in daily activities to ensure a smooth classroom operation.
- Adaptability: Respond to the evolving needs of the school and take on varied tasks as needed.
- Holistic Development: Foster the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of students.
Skills and Qualifications of a SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Education: Minimum Grade 4 or equivalent in GCSE Maths and English Language.
- Safeguarding Knowledge: Understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures.
- SEN Experience: Previous experience working with pupils with SEN is desirable.
- Transportation: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or ability to commute to Welwyn Garden City.
- Compliance: Must have Full-Time Right to Work status.
