Development Manager

General Function : The Development Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing the development process, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining high-quality standards. The role will collaborate with project managers, senior leadership, and stakeholders to define project goals, scope, and deliverables and will manage the design and delivery of technical solutions that will support the businesss vision, strategy and : - Responsible for the coordination of changes and additions to the multiple software development teams - Assign responsibilities and monitor progress of program changes - Familiar with the companys business and field operations - Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals - Perform a variety of tasks related to the IT initiatives - Lead and direct the work of others related to software additions and changes - Coordinate software releases - Create and distribute documentation about software releases to the company - Point of contact for questions about software release from various corporate sources including the Help Desk - Initial QA on any software changes - Point of contact with external testers for software changes - Create database queries and distribute results to various corporate users - Develop procedures within and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements - Other duties as : - A college degree in Computer Science or the equivalent technical experience - Scrum Master Certification is a plus Experience : - 10-15 years of software development experience - 3-5 years software project management experience or scrum master experience - Knowledge of retail store operations and related business practices a plus - Extensive knowledge of SQL and database stored procedures - Extensive knowledge of the Scrum events and the Agile Methodology - Working knowledge of the techniques of systems analysis, design and development - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously - Ability to meet stated deadlines - Communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing - Perform requirements survey to provide automated solutions including analysis, system design, program development, documentation, user training and implementation - Provide technical direction by coordinating, assigning, inspecting, monitoring and appraising the work of others - Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments and fellow Rights : - This job description does not list all the duties of the job.
