Opportunity

This is an opportunity for a creative individual with skills in social media and design to join an exciting young brand disrupting the alcoholic spirits industry. We are looking for someone who is eager to grow with the company and help shape and execute our social media strategy while designing engaging content. Diistil already works with some of the most prestigious venues in London, and we are seeking a passionate creative professional, reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the marketing team.

Please note this is Maternity cover but with potential for role to become permanent subject to company and candidate performance.

Diistil is an on-demand distillery creating innovative flavoured spirits. Operating from a state-of-the-art lab in London, we enable our customers to create bespoke, co-branded spirits in as little as 25 bottles. In addition to this bespoke offering, we have a Classic Collection, featuring products like distilled Yuzu, Jalapeño, and Soy Sauce, allowing both hospitality venues and at-home consumers to elevate their drink experiences.


Since launching 12 months ago, Diistil is now proudly served on the cocktail menus of 30 of London’s best venues, including The London Peninsula Hotel, One Aldwych, Experimental Cocktail Club, Michelin-starred Aulis, and WatchHouse coffee shops. We’ve also secured a nationwide listing with Master of Malt.

Job Description

The Junior Designer and Social Media Manager will play a pivotal role in developing and managing Diistil’s online presence. This role requires a proactive, creative thinker with a keen eye for design, excellent communication skills, and a passion for social media and brand-building.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To manage Diistil’s social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) by planning, scheduling, and posting engaging content.
  • To create visually appealing graphics, videos, and posts using Canva, Adobe Illustrator, and other creative tools, ensuring all content aligns with Diistil’s brand identity.
  • Creating labels designs for our bespoke clients based on combined brand guidelines using Adobe Illustrator
  • To actively engage with the online community, responding to comments and messages, and building positive relationships with our audience.
  • To monitor trends across social media and ensure Diistil’s digital strategy remains current and innovative.
  • To manage content on the website, which is built on Shopify
  • To track and report on social media performance, using insights to optimise future content and increase engagement.
  • To collaborate effectively with the CEO and marketing team to ensure alignment between social media activities and company goals.
  • To generally assist with additional office administration tasks, particularly working closely with the CEO

Qualifications:

  • Experience in social media management, graphic design, or content creation (internships or freelance work also acceptable).
  • Strong design skills with proficiency in Canva and Adobe Illustrator for creating visually engaging content is essential. Knowledge of additional design tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, best practices, and growth strategies.
  • Experience in website management, with strong copywriting skills and knowledge of Shopify is a plus
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging copy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.

Additional Details

  • Salary: £27,500 per annum
  • Location: Central London (Strand office)
  • Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with some flexibility required
  • Holiday Entitlement: 33 days (inclusive of Bank Holidays)

Additional Requirements

The post holder may be required to work outside core working hours (as detailed in their contract of employment), for example, to attend product launches, events, or respond to urgent matters as needed to meet operational demands.
