Purpose of role:

As our COO you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Naked Energy’s day to day operations. You will work closely with our CEO and Leadership team to drive overall business vision and strategy whilst implementing improvements to efficiency, productivity and profitability.


You will ensure that the business has a solid foundation whilst maintaining a strong workplace culture that fosters collaboration, innovation, and growth.


Role Responsibilities:

Operational Efficiency

  • Optimize operational processes, improve efficiency, and enhance productivity across the business by implementing scalable processes and systems.
  • Develop a culture of continuous improvement to ensure that we can effectively meet customer demands and adapt to changing markets.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and collaboration across departments
  • Ensure the business has the right resources both in terms of personnel and technology to achieve its goals.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance customer experience and satisfaction
  • Act as the company’s main adviser on all issues relating to operational functions and keep abreast of latest developments to ensure that the Company maintains its competitive position
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks to protect the company’s reputation and assets
  • Ensure the business complies with all regulatory and policy requirements


Strategic Planning

  • Implement business strategies and plans that align with the short- and long-term company objectives developed with the CEO & Leadership team
  • Analyse the financial and operational data for internal operations and identify areas for enhancement & improvement.
  • Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to senior management and the board of directors on operational matters
  • Develop and manage the operational budgets to ensure that the company has all the resources required to meet its objectives within agreed financial parameters.
  • Understand the company's target market and identify opportunities for growth. Work with the Business Development team to develop sales plans that align with the company's strategic plan.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including customers, partners, suppliers and the board of directors


Leadership

  • Lead and manage the Operational functions including Business Development, Project Management, Project Design, O&M and Installations.


Person Specification:

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive executive leadership roles with at least 5 years experience as a COO or in a similar C-level capacity, ideally within renewable energy or engineering industries
  • Held an impactful role in a UK based business that has expanded internationally, ideally within a scale up environment.
  • Extensive experience in optimizing operational processes and implementing performance metrics to drive efficiency and productivity that have resulted in increased profitability and business growth
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to drive our Sales strategy
  • A solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues
  • Strong financial acumen with a track record of effectively managing budgets, forecasting financial performance, and making data-driven decisions
  • Experience in leading and developing high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills and stakeholder management
  • Strong IT skills; ability to use multiple communication tools and packages

Remuneration:

£130,000 per annum
