Operational Change Manager

This is a great job for someone with experience of investment management middle office processes (insourced or outsourced) supported with a good background knowledge of the investment management industry, functions and services.

A bit about the job:

The purpose of the Operational Change Manager role is to analyse, manage and implement multiple change items on processes governed by Investment Operations Oversight at Aviva Investors. The role includes the analysis of proposed change and the impact to existing processes within Aviva Investors and outsource partners, the identification and documentation of solutions, and the testing and implementation of those solutions. Changes may be isolated/specific to a particular problem set or part of a larger programme of work. All solutions will consider both ongoing efficiency and Aviva Investors risk appetite.

The Operational Change Manager is responsible for the oversight and governance of the change pipeline with the outsource Operations providers, across Investment Operations, Performance Measurement, Client Reporting, Mandate Monitoring, Fund Accounting, Transfer Agency, Custody, Aladdin Services and Market Data. Changes may be demand driven by the Investment teams, the Distribution team, external clients and regulatory changes. Identification of efficiencies and risk reduction across the Operations function is a major aim of the role too.

Skills and experience we're looking for:
  • Good presentation abilities and comfortable presenting to an audience
  • Able to use and interpret financial data quickly and effectively
  • An advanced MS Excel, MS Visio and MS Word practitioner and comfortable across the Microsoft Office suite of applications
  • Knowledge of Aladdin beneficial
  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CISI, CFA, IMC, CAIA, accountancy, etc.) desirable but not essential
