The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Design Lead to join our team. You are creative and experienced in creating quality and engaging content for online and offline mediums that are engaging and striking. You have a passion for pushing creative boundaries through imagery and words.
You'll have experience in generating engaging design-led content for both B2C and B2B audiences that grabs attention and delivers meaningful commercial benefits (including building brand consideration, positive perceptions, building leads, driving traffic).
You will be experienced in delivering great online user experiences - using creative design and messaging to streamline journeys and meet commercial objectives. You can confidently lead and nurture a team of content creators, ensuring consistency of brand identity and ToV alongside innovation.
You find ways to achieve great outcomes quickly and cost effectively - such as experience using generative AI tools to support the delivery of great content fast - without eroding quality or effectiveness.
You will be familiar with creating content that works for SEO, social media, email engagement, website UI, offline brand building and more. This role requires someone who is proactive, organised and able to spot opportunities to enhance the brand through design and content.
Responsibilities:
* Proactively deliver creative executions that help to improve brand fame and engagement. You will tell stories through content which align to our strategic direction and strategy
* Design excellence: be hands-on with design, setting an example of creative expertise. Ensure all design output it visually impactful, brand-aligned and meets high standards
* Content collaboration and creation: work closely with content creators, marketing teams and other stakeholders to develop cohesive design and content strategies - for different mediums - that drive brand engagement with B2C and B2B audiences
* Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of content creators, providing guidance and support in creative direction, ensuring high-quality output across all projects and some familiarity with objective setting and review processes
* Project Management: organise and prioritise inbound design and content requests, ensuring smooth workflows and timely delivery of assets. Act as a central point of coordination for design-related tasks and communicate with stakeholders on expectations related to timing and production value
* Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality of all design deliverables, ensuring they meet brand standards and deliver strong visual impact
Requirements
Essential:
* Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design and content projects across various media and platforms
* Knowledge of SEO best practices and web content optimisation
* Excellent design skills with proficiency in tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma
* Exceptional content creation and editing skills, with attention to detail and consistency
* Experience in developing and executing content strategies across digital and print channels
* Strong understanding of branding, visual identity and content marketing principles
* Experience managing creative projects, meeting deadlines and collaborating with cross-functional teams
* Strong leadership and an ability to manage, coach and nurture a team of designers
