We have a fantastic opportunity for a HSE Manager to join our Operations Team on a permanent basis Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:00pm at our state of the art manufacturing facility in Tamworth. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our company's continued growth.

How you will make the difference as HSE Manager:

Providing accurate guidance to the company on all Health and Safety related matters and promoting a positive culture and approach towards health, safety, environment and sustainability. Ensuring all health and safety best practices, policies and procedures are followed to mitigate risk across the business. Responsibility for ensuring the business operates within and adheres to all relevant legislation and all applicable compliance procedures.

Your responsibilities:

Establishing and implementing Health and Safety policies and procedures to maintain high standards.

Ensure that Health and Safety, Environment strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives, and operational needs to enable the company to function effectively.

Establishing long term Health and Safety initiatives, driving a culture of continuous improvement.

Monitor industry trends and H&S, Environmental legislation changes, advising management on the necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.

Prepare and submit auditory reports when required.

Conduct regular risk assessments of the business and spot check audits to identify potential hazards and recommended corrective actions.

Provide expert advice on HSE related issues, acting as the primary point of contact relating to Health and Safety, Environment matters.

Analyse data & utilise KPIs to identify improvements in all areas relating to HSE

Manage completion of risk assessments, COSHH, MSDS, fire prevention

Recommend preventative and implement corrective actions and monitor the effectiveness of improvements.

Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.

Maintain and update HSE records and documentation, including logs, risk assessments and safety procedures.

Develop and monitor HSE training programs for all employees at all levels, ensuring they understand and comply with safety awareness and procedures.

Promote awareness and understanding of HSE practices through the health and safety committee, ongoing education and communications.

Mentor and support all staff in implementing HSE initiatives and best practices.

Assist in the development and implementation of HSE programs and initiatives to enhance workplace safety and environmental performance.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of HSE programs, recommending improvements when necessary.

Collaborate with cross functional teams to integrate HSE considerations into project planning through to execution.

Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures

Coordinate and conduct emergency drills and training requirements such as first aid and fire Marshall.

Act as a key point of contact during emergency situations, providing guidance and support to ensure a prompt and effective response.

What you will need:

- NEBOSH General Certificate or similar.

-A demonstrable and proven track record in the use of Quality tools; such as 8D, FEMEA, Ishikawa, Root cause, Kaizen/Six Sigma & 5Y associated Quality tools.

-A knowledgeable understanding of ISO 9001 & adherence to additional standards, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.

- Excellent communication with proven ability to produce high quality written reports and presentations.

- Waste regulation, plastic packaging regulation knowledge.

SDS product legislation knowledge.
