Job Description

An excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to 3 years experience to join a UK focused renewable energy company which supports businesses to reach net zero emissions across their heat, power and mobility requirements.


You will work on some of the most challenging and innovative decarbonisation projects that have been proposed in the UK, whilst contributing towards the UKʼs Net Zero emission goals. We offer regular contact time with senior management, as well as significant autonomy and authority to help our business delivery better projects on time, on budget and to the highest levels of quality and safety.


The Role:

We are looking for an ambitious PMO Analyst to assist our project team in monitoring and delivering on our growing project portfolio, with a range of projects at different phases of development.


The PMO Analyst will report into the Head of Project Delivery. Their responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining project management processes, procedures, templates, and best practices.
  • Implementing and managing project management tools and software.
  • Supporting project portfolio management support to regular reporting cycles.
  • Support project managers in the development of project schedules and budgets.
  • Conducting project risk analysis on a project and portfolio basis.
  • Creating and delivering project status reports to stakeholders.
  • Facilitating project meetings and communications.
  • Managing project documentation and information.
  • Coordinating project stakeholders and resources across the business.
  • Developing and implementing document management policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance with company ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Establishing and maintaining an efficient document control system, including organising, categorising, and indexing electronic documents.



Character Profile:


We will therefore consider a range of candidates, from time served PMO professionals, to apprentice trained Project Controllers to developing graduates.


The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced and challenging environment, as well as confident to put their ideas forward and challenge if required.


The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with stakeholders across all levels.
  • Experience in risk management and conflict resolution also desirable.
  • Strong report writing skills.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills.
  • Candidates should possess strong skills in full Microsoft office suite, notably PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Excel and Word.
  • Experience of PMO management software (such of Project Online and PowerBI) is advantageous.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate a high proficiency in English and Maths.
  • Experience in Project Controls and wider project management theory.
  • Graduates are encouraged to apply.
