Deputy Head Teacher Special School

As the Deputy Head Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping our school’s vision and ensuring the highest standards of education. You’ll work closely with the Head Teacher, staff, and parents to create an inclusive and empowering learning experience for our students.
Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management:
    • Assist, support, represent, and deputise for the Head Teacher.
    • Formulate and review the School Improvement Plan.
    • Maintain and develop the ethos, values, and overall purposes of the school.
  • Teaching and Learning:
    • Take specific responsibility for the development of teaching and learning.
    • Lead data analysis initiatives, focusing on student performance.
    • Champion inclusive practices and differentiation.
  • Safeguarding and Wellbeing:
    • Ensure the safeguarding and wellbeing of all students.
    • Collaborate with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) to address child welfare and protection issues.
    • Support staff in maintaining trust in the teaching profession.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience working with students with SEN, preferably within a school or college setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEN principles, strategies, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
