We're on the lookout for a proactive and organised People Team Assistant to join our People Function and be part of our exciting journey.

What you’ll be doing:

• Assisting the People Team with recruitment and HR tasks including hiring, weekly payroll and general administrative duties across the People Team department.
• Supporting the interview process for internal and external candidates, including coordinating trials and communicating with applicants.
• Screening CVs, preparing interview questions and delivering feedback with professionalism.
• Keeping our job boards up to date across multiple platforms, including social media and our internal network.
• Supporting the onboarding process and handling compliance checks using internal systems.
• Maintaining accurate employee records in our HR system.
• Providing support with payroll and benefits administration.
• Preparing HR documents like offer letters and contracts.
• Assisting with audits and ensuring compliance with UK employment laws, such as management of driver licences across a team of 200 drivers and cyclists.
• Helping to coordinate training sessions, inductions, workshops and performance reviews.
• Spending lots of time out and about in the shops and learning about YSP operations.
• Handling employee queries and promoting a positive, supportive workplace.
• Assisting with organisation of annual company events and socials.

What we’re ideally looking for:

• Experience working in a fast-paced recruitment or HR environment.
• A confident communicator with excellent telephone and organisational skills.
• Proactive and able to work independently with strong attention to detail.
• Competent administrator - familiar with Excel or Google Sheets, Google Docs and email management of multiple inboxes within a similar role
• Comfortable using HR or ATS systems (knowledge of Harri is a bonus!)
• Someone who has a positive attitude who loves working with people and building relationships!
