Job Description

We are looking for a “go-to person” who can take on all elements of this position. You should be extremely organised, have fantastic communication skills, be able to multitask, and enjoy a varied role.


This role plays a key part in the project team at our sites of Alconbury Weald and Wintringham, supporting on areas including administration and office management, events and community liaison as well managing the operation of our community centre and other community facilities as we develop them.


The role will primarily based at Alconbury Weald, situated in the Club, and adjacent to the community venues it will support. The Alconbury office has a varied staffing number as it covers the 3 Cambridgeshire developments, and can vary from a core team of 4, to days when the full team of 12-15 are in the office: the managing of which is a core part of the role. The Club also hires rooms out to business on site, and the role will involve promoting and managing the booking process and supporting their requirements, alongside use of the Community Centre. The role will also oversee and support the running of our project office at Wintringham St Neots (Ability to drive to Wintringham in St. Neots (10 miles away) regularly and other offices if required), which supports 3 full time staff there, as well as additional team members working there a number of days a week and hosts larger team and partnership meetings on a regular basis.


Role Requirements

  • Experience in an administrative, office assistant/management role is essential;
  • Highly organised, able to handle multiple workstreams and prioritise tasks;
  • Competent and confident with the Microsoft Office suite - able to correspond professionally through email and produce well-written documentation such as reports, letters and emails;
  • A strong communicator with an enthusiasm for working with people;
  • An enthusiastic team player with a ‘can do’ approach, able to work flexibly and adapt to the changing and multiple needs of the team and business and respond appropriately;
