Job Description


The Agronomy Intern will assist crop consultants, salespersons, and location managers in the administration of crop management programs, the development of customer relationships, day to day operations, and special projects or assignments.


The Agronomy Intern will be required to help with day-to-day operations along with the following duties:

  • Monitors assigned customer crops daily for crop condition and pests.
  • Interact directly with customers explaining crop diagnosis and solutions in a manner that is clear to the customer and accurate.
  • Conducts pre-application inspections of customer's fields and crops for pesticide and fungicides application recommendations on behalf of the cooperative.
  • Uses GPS tracking systems and computer software for identifying and recording field pest locations, and crop management information.
  • Assist in seed sales and marketing programs, which include the development of the cooperative's seed demonstration plots and customer informational meetings.
  • Respond to assigned customer complaints on behalf of the cooperative's agronomy management.
  • Work closely with the cooperative's crops and integrated pest management teams in the development and maintenance of all agronomy programs.
  • Assists with record keeping and office support assignments.
  • Attends recommended crops diagnostic workshops.
  • During the internship period the intern will be expected to complete a project established between the intern and their supervisor, and to present the completed project to the management team of the sponsoring cooperative at the completion of the internship period.
  • Other duties as assigned.




The Agronomy Intern must meet the following requirements:

  • Full-time registered student majoring in an agricultural discipline.
  • a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Meets work eligibility requirements of the Immigration and Naturalization Service and a permanent resident of the USA.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Capable of performing the essential functions and duties outlined in the job description.
  • Favorable background checks results.
  • Occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
