Lab Assistant

The successful candidate will assist the Paint Lab Technician and Technical Lab Technician with sample preparation and required testing, adhering to internal and customer specifications. This position operates on a day shift. Key Performance Areas: Assist with sample preparation for both laboratories. Support durability testing in the Technical Lab. Help with material testing in the Technical Lab. Assist with paint surface testing in the Paint Lab. Contribute to routine testing and product audits. Qualifications: Minimum of Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science (or equivalent). Laboratory training is advantageous. Work Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a factory environment. A minimum of 3 years of laboratory testing experience is preferred. Other Requirements: Ability to operate laboratory testing equipment. Strong understanding of the sampling process. Knowledge of the wheel-making process. Ability to interpret test methods. Capacity to work under pressure and as part of a team. Proactive attitude. Honesty, integrity, and good communication skills. Excellent attendance record. Computer literacy (Excel, Word) is essential. A valid drivers license is a plus.
