This is an exciting opportunity for Healthcare Assistants to join our team on an As & When basis to help deliver care and support to people with a life limiting illnesses whilst also offering vital emotional support for their families.     • 44% x your basic salary per hour paid for Saturdays & weekday night duty (8pm to 6am) £17.21 - £18.68 per hour
    • 88% x your basic salary per hour paid for Sundays and Public Bank Holidays £22.47 - £24.38 per hour

What we are looking for:

  • Relevant experience supporting people at end of life
  • Licence to drive in the UK with access to a vehicle insured for business use, flexible to travel across Lanarkshire 25 miles radius from home is essential.
  • Ability to operate and use Microsoft packages and relevant IT systems
  • Willing to register with SSSC including completing an SNVQ Level 3 qualification or an equivalent certificate/diploma
  • Emotional strength and the ability to work on your own are crucial, though we will of course provide excellent on-going training and support.

With experience of End of Life care, you're ready and able to make a real difference. Working without close supervision, you'll have the opportunity to use your own initiative in line with the patient's established care plan. Working as part of a team of Healthcare Assistants and Registered Nurses, lead by our Senior Nurse, you'll be required to carry out a range of care duties including helping patients meet their hygiene needs, monitoring symptoms, assisting with medications and keeping detailed records and emotional support to the patient and their families.
