Junior / Middleweight Designer

Our designer position is perfect for someone who is looking for their next move up in their career. You will support the entire team as a go-to designer for assets and campaign roll-outs.

A typical day will consist of creating visually engaging, innovative designs and digital comms. Using your initiative with projects and assets and working face to face collaboratively is a key part of your role. Additionally, understanding the balance between content, commercial thinking and design is essential to serving our client’s needs.

This is an awesome opportunity for a driven, out-going and organised Graphic Designer to join our multi award winning, global and fast paced integrated/digital/creative marketing agency in beautiful converted barn on the edge of Oxfordshire near Thame.

Your Responsibilities

• Execute creative projects from pitch to brief through to delivery, working closely with clients and other members of the team from across the agency
• Ensure projects are delivered creatively, accurately, on time and to the highest level of quality
• Designing and creating both online and offline assets, for example designing landing pages, emails, social media campaigns and posts, collaterals…
• Work on websites/portals to developing brands and everything in between - all done with strong storytelling
• Support creative work for existing clients and new business
• Be able to come up with ‘the next big idea’ and equally comfortable being hands-on
• Have an understanding of design and a range of copywriting
• Show the ability to understand a brief, it’s requirements and to develop fitting creative solutions
• Plan your time effectively with the wider team to meet deadlines
• Keep abreast of current creative thinking and trends
• Ability to present concepts and articulate creative thinking

The role of designer works within a team of creatives that range between junior, middleweight, seniors and creative leads.

Your skills

• We’re looking for someone whose has passion and takes pride in everything they design, who asks questions through their work and takes the mundane and makes it stand-out
• Around 2 + years’ experience working as a Designer in an agency environment
• Proficient using Adobe Creative Suite; XD, Illustrator, InDesign Photoshop, and any experience with Premiere, After Effects, PowerPoint, CMS tools, WordPress and even basic HTML would be a huge bonus
• Understanding of advertising and marketing ideally in tech and/or B2B sector
• Curious about what makes a stand-out brand to make people tick
• A high quality portfolio, relative to experience level
• Creative flair and originality
• Passion and enthusiasm for outstanding creative execution
• A strong sense of typographic and design layout
• Strong attention to detail and being proud of everything you create (within the projects constraints)
• A strong desire to work-hard, succeed and self development
• Easy-going and an understanding that feedback is never personal
• Enthusiastic follower of graphic, web, social and technological trends
• Able to take direction from every member of the team
• Ability to present ideas with confidence
