Oakley Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established organisation based in Birmingham as an Underwriter initially on a 6 Month FTC.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Delivering outstanding underwriting decisions and customer service
- Assessing and analysing customer risks
- Demonstrating commitment and adherence to working practices regarding business controls, processes and systems
- Ensuring KPI and SLA performance is achieved and maintained
- Ensuring underwriting exclusions and ratings applied are through the clients’ requirements
- Developing effective professional relationships within the Protection area and with other key stakeholders including Financial Consultants
- Taking ownership of customer underwriting enquiries
- Supporting the team in resolving any technical queries relating to the underwriting of the product
- Ensuring that underwriting procedures and philosophy remain up to date
Skills and experience
- Previous underwriting experience within the medical field
- Good customer service and telephone skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team and take ownership of work priorities
- Able to adapt to new challenges
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to work quickly to achieve targets/deadlines
