Registered Nurse – Emergency Department and General Medical Ward

About the role:
Our successful candidates will be working across both our Emergency Department and General Medical Ward with other highly skilled and motivated health professionals to deliver Excellence to every patient, every time.
The role will offer care to our elderly population, helping them stay connected with their loved ones and community. You will assist patients and their families in obtaining personalised care tailored to their unique needs.
The Nursing team at Tomaree Community Hospital is supported by a highly skilled and dynamic group of Clinical Nurse Specialists and Clinical Nurse Educators. Our Management Team is dedicated to ensuring staff feel supported, maintain a healthy work-life balance, and have opportunities to achieve their career goals.
In this role you will be given the opportunity to learn, develop and grow both rural generalist skills as well as develop your rural Emergency skills.
Where you’ll be working:
- Join our small close and supportive team and work in Paradise! Tomaree Community Hospital offers you the opportunity to work in one of the most beautiful locations in Australia whilst providing Healthcare to people living in Nelson Bay and surrounding areas. Nelson Bay is one of the top locations on the NSW Coast for whale and dolphin watching tours.
- Tomaree Community Hospital has a five-bed Emergency Department which delivers care to 18,000 patients annually and is supported by a 14 bed Inpatient Medical Unit. Providing both paediatric and adult care.
- You will be joining a team of highly skilled and motivated Nurses who are proud of the care that they deliver.

Requirements:
Our successful candidate will possess the following:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
About you:
- You must possess advanced assessment skills, the ability to prioritise care, and strong communication skills.
- You demonstrate a strong work ethic, excellent time management, and the ability to stay well-organised while prioritising tasks efficiently.
- Ideally you will have experience in Emergency Nursing, but we also offer training to help you transition into this role.
