About you

As our Local Medical Educator, you’ll have highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with exposure working as a GP in a General Practice environment, whilst experience as a Medical Educator is desired it is not essential. To thrive in the role, you will ideally have:

  • Medical education experience, particularly in small group teaching, development of educational content for programs and performance assessment
  • development as well as development of educational content for programs.
  • demonstrated high level of initiative, conceptual and analytical thinking, and high level of attention to detail.
  • highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • work effectively within a team environment and ability to work independently.

About the opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Local Medical Educator - Head of Training, you’ll work collaboratively with the GP Training Program Management team to achieve the best outcomes for registrars and supervisors ensuring the delivery of a high-quality nationally consistent GP training program. In addition, you’ll provide:

  • registrar support
  • registrar education
  • training site support
  • supervisor support and education
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural and health training
