Are you a recent University Geoscience graduate seeking an excellent opportunity?
Join the Geological Survey of NSW (GSNSW) (part of NSW Resources) for a unique opportunity to gain experience in geoscience and help shape the future of NSW.
GSNSW collects, synthesises, manages and delivers geological, geophysical, geochemical and geospatial data to inform government, the resource industry and the community about the state's geology, and mineral, coal, petroleum and renewable energy resources.

How it works:
As a graduate with GNSW you will have the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills gained through your university degree in a dynamic, supportive organisation. With 3 different rotations of 6 months each you’ll be exposed to a diverse range of projects and operations, gaining valuable insights into different aspects of geoscience and government functions.
Rotations may include:
Londonderry (W. B. Clarke Geoscience Centre):
- Mineral Systems: Mineral system studies, geochronology and petrology
- Mineral Systems: Hyperspectral geoscience
- Mineral Systems: Palaeontology
- Mineral Resource Assessments: Commodity and resource assessments
Maitland:
- Mineral Systems: Mineral system studies, geochronology and petrology
- Projects & Acquisition: Geophysics, tectonics and 3D
- Geospatial & Graphics: Geoscientific data and analysis
- Geospatial & Graphics: Geological mapping, geospatial and GIS
- Mineral Resource Assessments: Commodity and resource assessments
The program offers strong support through mentorship, an executive sponsor, and collaboration with various managers, ensuring you not only build essential technical skills but also gain a comprehensive understanding of the organization.
