Salary: £34,866 - £36,924 per annum SS5

The Role:

University College Birmingham are seeking an experienced and qualified Learning Skills and Development Coach (Professional Cookery) to join the award-winning professional cookery apprenticeship team. This position is part of the Centre for Apprenticeships team providing skilled support for our wide range of level 2 and level 3 culinary workplace learners.

The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in onboarding apprentices including employer engagement, the support of apprenticeships in a wide range of culinary settings including Michelin star, have a good understanding of apprenticeship compliance and end point assessment requirements as well as health and safety, food safety and all relevant occupational legislation. Excellent organisational, administrative and communication skills both written and verbal with a knowledge of PREVENT and Safeguarding will also be required.

Candidates will have the ability to work autonomously using their initiative on certain tasks. The role will require a flexible approach to work and may involve some evening and weekend events, inclusive of overnight stays and regular travel to employer sites. The successful candidate will require a full clean driving licence.

All applications should be supported by a relevant qualification in Professional Cookery or Culinary Arts and a relevant assessors award along with relevant vocational experience in the sector.
