Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) for a part-time school-based role near Fulton, MO. This position involves working with students across various grade levels to address their developmental needs. As a part-time therapist (3 days a week), you will have the opportunity to work closely with an interdisciplinary team, providing essential therapy services that help students thrive in the school environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students' needs and create customized occupational therapy interventions to enhance their educational performance.
- Provide direct therapy to students to improve fine motor, visual motor, and sensory processing skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education professionals, and families to ensure each student receives the support they need.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with specific therapy goals for students.
- Document therapy sessions and student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet student needs.
- Attend IEP meetings to offer input on therapy-related goals and progress.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Missouri OT licensure (or eligibility for state licensure).
- Strong ability to work independently, with excellent time management skills for a part-time schedule.
- School experience is an advantage but not required.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of school-based therapy services and IEP processes, but is not required.
- Experience in pediatric occupational therapy is a plus, but not required.
