Job Summary: The Junior Staff Accountant will assist with various accounting tasks, including data entry, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This entry-level position is ideal for someone looking to develop their accounting skills and grow within a dynamic organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
- Maintain and update financial records and databases.
- Perform account reconciliations and assist in resolving discrepancies.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Process invoices, payments, and payroll entries as needed.
- Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts.
- Help with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and schedules.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or in progress).
- 2 years of accounting experience or relevant internship experience.
- Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the accounting field.
