Citizens for Citizens, Inc. is seeking a Women's Health or Family Nurse Practitioner to join the team at our Family Planning clinics in Fall River and Taunton, MA. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a nurse-led, patient-centered program as we evolve to meet the needs of our community.

CFC Family Planning is dedicated to providing high quality, comprehensive sexual and reproductive healthcare that is accessible and affordable for all. We have been providing confidential, non-judgmental services in the community for over 50 years. Our work is guided by the core values of reproductive justice and health equity. We work closely with the CFC Teen Pregnancy Prevention program, which runs educational and outreach programs in the community.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care in an outpatient clinic and via telehealth

  • Provide comprehensive sexual and reproductive health services, including contraceptive counseling and management, STI testing and treatment, cervical cancer screening, pregnancy testing and options counseling, and routine gynecologic and preconception care for clients in the CFC Family Planning clinics in accordance with CFC protocols

  • Conduct patient assessments, diagnose and manage common sexual and reproductive health conditions for clients of all genders. Perform microscopy (wet preps) as indicated.

  • Counsel patients on sexual health, family planning methods, and reproductive health issues. Distribute appropriate written patient education information.

  • Provide appropriate contraceptive methods and dispense medications in accordance with CFC protocols. Insert and remove intrauterine contraceptives and arm implants.

  • Document all information in the electronic medical record and paper logs accurately and promptly, according to CFC Protocols. Maintain patient confidentiality.

  • Make appropriate referrals to other healthcare providers and community agencies for services that fall outside the scope of CFC Family Planning

  • Consult with the Medical Director when the client presentation falls outside of scope of CFC Family Planning

  • Work collaboratively and cooperatively with other members of the team, including physician, nurses, reproductive health counselors, and health educators

  • Participate in monthly staff meetings and quarterly QA meetings.

  • Complete required trainings at time of hire, annually, and additional trainings/CE as assigned.

  • 28 hours weekly (Monday-Thursday, includes 2 hours admin time) in both Fall River and Taunton MA clinics

Requirements:

  • Graduate of accredited college or nursing institution with Masters in Nursing

  • Certification to practice as Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, or Certified Nurse Midwife

  • Current license as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in the state of Massachusetts

  • Minimum 1-2 years healthcare experience in family, women’s, or sexual health

  • CPR certification, or ability to obtain

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently

  • Enthusiastic team player with passion for sexual and reproductive health
