Responsibilities

  • Read Blueprints: Interpret engineering drawings for pipe system layouts.
  • Pipe Installation:Assemble, install, and maintain piping systems.
  • Pipe Fabrication: Cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes to fit specifications.
  • Layout Planning:Plan pipe layouts considering safety and efficiency.
  • Support Installation:Install supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders.
  • Welding:Perform welding tasks for connections and fabrications.
  • Testing and Inspecting:Conduct pressure tests and inspections.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Diagnose and repair pipe system issues.
  • Collaboration:Work with other construction professionals.
  • Safety Compliance:Adhere to safety standards and protocols.
  • Documentation:Maintain accurate records of work performed.
  • Material Knowledge: Familiarity with different types of pipes and fittings.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and troubleshoot issues during installation.
  • Continuous Learning:Stay updated on industry trends and technologies.

Job requirements

  • Minimum OSHA 10(or able to obtain within 30 days of employment) AWS Certifications, Education or Work Experience
  • Completion of a pipe fitting apprenticeship or vocational program
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings
  • Welding and safety certifications may be required
  • Proficient in relevant welding techniques
  • Familiarity with various pipe types and fittings
  • Competent in using and maintaining pipefitting tools
  • Strong mathematical abilities for measurements and calculations
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and PPE use
  • Ability to troubleshoot during installations
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration
  • Precision and attention to detail in work
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
