Production Manager Citrus Farming

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Effective workforce management, coordination, and development Management of diseases and pests Water/fertilizer management and pruning of trees Establish new orchards Maintain records and documentation Practical maintenance Audits Quality control Cost management MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12 Relevant qualifications (in Agriculture) will be beneficial At least 4 years experience as a Citrus Farm Manager, preferably on a large Citrus Farm. Strong managerial skills (able to efficiently manage 40 permanent workers and up to 500 seasonal workers) Basic computer literacy in MS Office Excellent linguistic skills (Afrikaans and English, Xhosa beneficial) Drivers License ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES: Self-motivated/ driven Proactive Accountable and responsible Good interpersonal skills Business orientated Excellent communication skills Organizing, planning, and reporting
