An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sales Manager to join an upmarket luxury 5* hotel in the heart of The City. The client is proud of their strong customer relationships and friendly atmosphere and are looking for experienced Sales Manager who can meet the high standards of the client. Due to the demand to servicing their discerning clients, they are looking for like minded individuals who have worked in a similar sales management role in a hotel environment to join their team on a permanent basis.
Job Description
As a Corporate Sales Manager you will be responsible for:
- MUST be in a similar proactive role in a hospitality hotel environment
- All aspects of guest relations
- Providing growth through the promotion of private dining experiences, as well as exploring opportunities for conference & events, private parties, corporate functions, and more.
- Carry out operational planning
- Driving sales strategies to increase sales through various sales methods
- Monitor revenue streams through sales & strategy planing going forward
- Expanding revenue streams within the events division
- Develop relationships and partnerships with event agencies, third parties
- Conducting sales presentations to the board
- Proactive selling & business development is required
- To ensure that all aspects of function sheets are fully understood and carried out as specified for the events team to take over
- Experience in private hire events on a proactive basis
- Generating leads, and fostering relationships
- Be able to build upon the sales & events department
- Follow company and department procedures
- Having good admin skills
- Create new revenue streams by establishing successful partnerships with Brands, Corporate clients, weddings and company conferences
- Working closely with the Sales Events Director
- Keeping on track of sales and events sold & monitoring success
- Regular show rounds and events quotes
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Digital, and Social Media teams
- Identifying problems and reacting to resolve the issues
The Ideal candidate will be:
- Experienced in a similar sales & events role within a high hotel/hospitality background
- Be able to work independently as well as a small team
- Work towards sales targets set by the board
- MUST be flexible in working some weekends with the needs of the business
- Be able to work in a high demanding environment
- Organise industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the hotel and event spaces
- Being able to act upon different situations in a precise and professional manner
- Able to give & follow clear instructions by the Directors
- Must be commercially minded & up to date with market trends & competitors
- Used to a target based proactive sales environment
- MUST have proactive sales experience selling events
- Must have high effective operational sales & event planning experience
- Flexible to working some weekends
- Experience of managing own workload with minimal supervision; able to multi-task, effectively plan work, prioritise and meet deadlines
- Used to dealing with reports
- Being proactive and being able to think on their feet
- Used to dealing with different types of clientele with customer service being the top priority
The ideal candidate will have great organisational skills along with the passion and commitment in driving excellent service to the clientele and a proven track record as a Sales Manager in a hotel/hospitality environment.
