We are looking for an experienced Director of Events to head up the events business within the newly formed healthcare business unit.???
This new role has been created following the restructure of GlobalData’s healthcare businesses including our portfolio of 22 conferences and confex events. As such, you will be supporting business change management whilst we transition from GlobalData/Arena International into the new GlobalData Healthcare Entity.??
Reporting to the CEO – Healthcare Division, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing the overall Healthcare Division event strategy with multi-departmental responsibilities; Sales, Delegate Acquisition, Marketing, Production, Operational planning and delivery, P&L Management and reporting and M&A.?
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business strategy and tactical delivery including organic growth and M&A?
- Manage all business costs in line with set budgets. Including monthly forecast updates of expected Full Year costs.?
- Lead commercial sales operations to ensure Sales and Revenues deliver in line with P&L expectations/budgets.?
- Collaborate across GlobalData’s Healthcare Division to ensure our events are “Must Attend” within the sectors we operate in and measurably “Best in Class” Events.?
- Oversee supplier procurement across all event delivery including Venues, AV, F&B, Design, Travel etc in line for the successful delivery of our events.?
- Develop and deliver best practice for processes and procedures across the business.?
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase awareness of our event and attract /retain the quality/quantity of attendance and sponsorship revenues.?
