Chichester College have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Assessor Trainer in Electrical at our Crawley campus. You will join us on a part time, permanent basis and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £23,497 - £25,678 (i.e. £13,971.19 - £15,268) per annum, plus £362.75 Crawley Weighting Allowance.
The Assessor Trainer in Electrical role:
Are you an experienced and passionate electrical professional looking to share your skills with the next generation of electricians and installation technicians? Crawley College is recruiting for an Assessor Trainer in Electrical to join our team and help shape our students' future careers by supporting their development of vocational competence and the wider skills that relate to employability.

As our Assessor Trainer in Electrical, you will support students throughout their learning journey and provide them with a high-quality learning experience which will enable them to develop their knowledge and skills. A significant collaboration with local employers is envisaged to support the students’ apprenticeship journey.
Key Responsibilities of our Assessor Trainer in Electrical:
Supporting the learners’ development of vocational competence and the wider skills that relate to employability.
Training and/or assessing learners within the relevant vocational area to awarding organisation standards in a timely manner.
Applying relevant initial and diagnostic assessment to individualised training plans.
Agreeing a training programme of development and assessment in partnership with the employer, setting realistic but challenging goals that meet the learners’ and employers’ needs, and include on and off the job training where required.
Actively listening, providing feedback and engaging learners in planning their individualised training programme through coaching and mentoring; supporting the delivery and acheivement of additional qualifications as required.
Assessing learners’ competence in relation to work-related/industry standards.
Providing workbased practice of the assessment instruments in the EPA where required, give timely and constructive feedback on assessment outcomes and progress, review and set new targets with candidates.
Completing relevant documentation in an accurate and organised manner, ensuring candidates are monitored and assessed against awarding body standards.
Our ideal Assessor Trainer in Electrical should have the below skills and experience:
Level 2 in literacy and numeracy
Level 3 or above Electrical qualification
Level 3 Assessor Award (TAQA or equivalent)
Working knowledge of the relevant vocational area
Relevant and recent vocational experience in the relevant industry sector
