Job Description

We are Health Unlimited, and we are looking for a confident and ambitious Senior Account Manager to join our team based in Soho, London. This role will be based within our Medical Education team, Rock, who are the Medical Education and Scientific Engagement specialists within Health Unlimited, combining a team of scientists proficient in delivering high quality content, training and education.

You will work with the brightest and most ambitious colleagues in health communications as well as across creative, digital and medical education. We take a creative approach to everything we do – putting our audience first to achieve tangible outcomes.

The Senior Account Manager is a key role within our agency. You will have excellent account handling skills and the confidence to manage the team and core projects on client accounts. You will take responsibilities within client business and working across a range of projects, you will take pride in delivering exceptional educational programmes and will be highly organised and forward thinking to ensure that your clients’ needs are met. You are looking to develop, grow and go above and beyond.

This is a hybrid role with 1 day a week required in our London office.

About the job:

Account responsibilities

  • On-going effective management of client accounts under your remit, gaining the respect and trust of your teams
  • Client liaison and building strong relationships, gaining the respect and trust of the clients
  • Flawless implementation of account activities
  • Ensuring projects have SMART objectives and are thoroughly evaluated
  • Proactive development of existing accounts through identification of opportunities for growth and conversion into new or ongoing work from clients
  • Demonstrate good forward planning and anticipation skills and demand excellence of the account team
  • Demonstrate innovation and creativity with your work

Financial responsibilities

  • Ensuring accounts under your remit are profitable and over-service is kept to a minimum
  • Financial reporting and phasing of accounts assigned to you
  • Accurate, timely invoicing, budget tracking and reconciling
  • Ensuring timesheets are completed accurately and on time

New business responsibilities

  • Contribution to identification of new business opportunities in target areas
  • Developing proposals and accurate budgets for prospective and existing clients as part of the team
  • Confident presentation of new business proposals

Requirements

  • Manage timings and implementation of the account with confidence and accuracy
  • Excellent client handling experience and expertise
  • Take responsibility for development of junior team members
  • Handle budgets effectively and understand implications of profitability
  • Effective time management and planning
  • Strong presentation skills
  • High standards in grammar and understanding of the editorial skills needed for excellence in communication
  • Excellent writing skills and attention to detail
  • Understanding of end user needs (Patient, KOL, HCP, client)
