We have an exciting opportunity at our school site in Chertsery, Surrey for a Sous Chef to join the team at Accent working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, term time only.

You will also have flexibility to do overtime when assisting in hospitality events in the evenings and weekends.

The food offer is fresh food cooked from scratch so excellent culinary skills are required with a passion for giving children the best possible lunch experience.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have excellent craft skills and experience of working with fresh ingredients
• Have exceptional standards in all aspects of food and service
• Have a comprehensive understanding of managing allergens and knowledge of H&S practices
• Have a proven track record in a high volume, quality catering establishment
• Be an innovative person with a positive outgoing disposition and a can do approach
• Have some line management experience
• Have some bakery skills/experience
• Have a proven track record of continually improving standards and achieving targets

The ideal candidate will also have some experience of working in independent schools.
