Role overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Conference & Event Manager to boost our presence at key conferences while driving digital engagement. In this role, you'll not only handle the logistical organization of events but also lead the promotion of our participation. You'll manage everything from vendor coordination to on-site support, while collaborating with Marketing, Sales, and Business Development to maximize visibility and ensure smooth execution.

This dynamic role requires a proactive and highly organized individual, ready to excel in a fast-paced environment and drive our event strategies forward! We look for people who love what they do, have strong communication skills, are able to understand the needs of the industry, and are proactive and curious about solving challenging problems in a collaborative environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Event Planning

  • Independently manage conference participation, including vendor coordination, logistics, team support, and hotel bookings
  • Serve as the main contact for conference & event requests and ensure efficient organization of materials and activities
  • Travel to conferences to assist with event management and product demonstrations
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and business development teams to prepare for events and manage inquiries
  • Ensure timely and effective internal communication with all stakeholders
  • Help coordinate conference agendas and participation with Sales/BD teams
  • Support the Marketing team in online event planning initiatives

Digital Marketing

  • Manage event-related email campaigns and social media promotion to drive attendance and engagement at conferences
  • Support social media channels, including content creation, posting and reporting on LinkedIn and Twitter
  • Assist with content creation for blog posts and educational materials
  • Help promote the company’s expertise through insightful content and strategic marketing efforts

Collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing and Sales teams to ensure alignment and project delivery
  • Stay organized to meet deadlines and engage all stakeholders effectively
  • Contribute to team meetings with insights to optimize processes and marketing strategies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Communication, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1 - 3 years experience in conferences management
  • Track record of working efficiently and proactively, with strong organizational skills and ability to drive activities independently
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, able to handle last minute requests and rush prior to conferences
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Eager to work in a fast-paced environment, striving for excellence in everything we do, alongside a team driven by shaping the future of eye care (Experience in a start-up is a plus)
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn about digital health, precision medicine and eye care
  • Fluent in English, additional languages are a plus
