Quality Assurance Engineer - Manual/Automation Testing

Job Summary : We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior QA Engineer with a passion for quality assurance and testing to join our QA team. This role involves performing both manual and automated testing to ensure the quality, functionality, and performance of our applications. Key Responsibilities : - Test Case Development : Create, update, and execute detailed test cases and test plans for functional, regression, integration, and system testing. - Manual Testing : Perform thorough manual testing to identify, document, and report software defects across various stages of the development lifecycle. - Automation Testing : Assist in developing and maintaining automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, JUnit, or similar. - Bug Tracking & Reporting : Document and report defects accurately, work with developers for resolution, and validate fixes. - Regression Testing : Conduct regular regression testing for new builds and releases to ensure stability and functionality. - Collaboration : Work closely with development, product, and QA teams to understand requirements and proactively provide input on functionality and usability. - Documentation : Ensure proper documentation of test results, defects, and procedures for team reference and improvement. Qualifications : Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience). Experience : Some hands-on experience or internship in software testing, with a focus on manual and automation testing. Technical Skills : - Familiarity with QA methodologies, test planning, and defect tracking. - Basic understanding of test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, Jmeter or similar. - Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) is a plus. - Familiarity with defect tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla. - Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) is advantageous.
