Boilermaker

Key Duties and Responsibilities: Roll plates, bend material, and operate guillotines Tack work to required code specifications Fabricate items from specified drawings Operate a heavy crane Use manual and automated flame cutting machines Follow quality control procedures Ensure work is completed within allotted timeframes Required Skills and Experience: 2-5 years of heavy engineering experience Proficient in using benders (small, medium, and large), croppers, punches, shears, and all types of rollers Skilled in cutting materials using cutting torches, heating torches, and plasma cutters Experienced in operating guillotines (small, medium, and large) Capable of boiler making, structural work, and general manufacturing Able to strip, repair, renew, and replace components on diesel and electrical locomotives, as well as wagons Skilled in pipe fabrication and fitting Qualifications: Grade 12 or equivalent Relevant trade test certificate
