Job Description
Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 Supply Chain, Logistics or related degree More than 3 years corporate procurement experience Duties and Responsibilities: Manage contract database and ensure timely renewals. Oversee tender and contract award processes. Maintain accurate contract documentation and records. Assist in contract development, modification, and extension. Track, analyze, and measure supplier performance. Ensure contract compliance and adherence to organizational procedures. Coordinate contract portfolio in the absence of the Contract Manager. Collaborate with contract managers to implement duties and capture data. Negotiate and manage group purchasing contracts to optimize value for money. Maximize return on investment for procurement activities. Identify opportunities for new group purchasing contracts through stakeholder engagement and market research. Develop procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals. Liaise with stakeholders at member institutions to gather information and identify needs. Engage with suppliers to ensure high-quality service delivery. Facilitate forums for interaction between different disciplines in the procurement cycle. Market the companys services to potential clients. Assist the companys management team in developing strategic and operational plans. Manage new and existing contracts to ensure adherence to cost, service, and quality standards. Monitor supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Expedite handling and answering of inquiries from users and suppliers. Ensure timely deliveries and adherence to preferential procurement and savings initiatives. Research and evaluate potential suppliers and contracts. Compile tender documents and detailed evaluation reports. Optimize procurement processes to reduce total cost of ownership. Identify and implement cost-saving strategies, such as bulk buying and pooling of efforts. Build strong relationships with clients at member institutions and suppliers. Ensure the effective operation of the e-tender and catalogue system. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities for the organization and member institutions. Track and report savings to the Contract Manager and Financial Manager. Administer the contract management portfolio. Assist the Contract Manager in managing regional activities and committees. Assume responsibilities of the Contract Manager in their absence. Manage procurement activities throughout the supply chain. Ensure fair, equitable, transparent, and cost-effective procurement practices. Manage a support staff member. Assume additional responsibilities in the absence of other team members.
