Job Description
This role is crucial to driving continuous improvement, ensuring on-time product delivery, and working closely with cross-functional teams to meet both production and stringent food safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and problem-solving abilities, guiding teams to reach high productivity and sustainability goals while maintaining seamless operational flow. As Factory Manager, you will collaborate with the General Manager and department heads to develop and execute operational strategies. Youll be responsible for overseeing Production, Logistics, Process Control, and Security, managing and mentoring teams to uphold business continuity. Your role will include designing and implementing effective use plans for raw materials and packaging, focusing on process improvements to reduce waste and enhance efficiency. In this position, you will conduct daily root cause analyses, implement corrective actions, and ensure site KPIs are met. Coordinating with stakeholders for smooth product launches and managing holiday-specific product planning are key aspects of this role, along with overseeing internal and external audits and providing essential training. NDC Personnel & Contractors is seeking a professional with a Grade 12/Matric, a tertiary qualification in Food Science, Industrial Engineering, or Operations Management, and at least 10 years of experience in the food industry or a related manufacturing sector, including a minimum of 5 years in a middle to senior management role.
