Job Description

Our client is looking for a recent graduate with at least a completed NQF 6 qualification, like a National Diploma or Advanced Certificate. This paid, site-based role is a great chance to grow your skills while working with a supportive team. Important: This graduate internship is for someone who has already graduated with at least an NQF 6 qualification, not for students still studying. The site-based intern, will have the following responsibilities (non-exhaustive list): • Comply with the Employer’s workplace policies and procedures. • Apply training and mentorship received on the project site on various Mechanical, electrical and Civil activities • Daily reporting on site activities • Site Quality inspections • Report writing • General Administration • Assist in enforcing HSE compliance related to Construction regulations. • Assist and manage project data management to share with Owners Engineers. • Assist with project reporting and drafting project presentations and reports. • Assisting in Document management and updating trackers. • Compiling Minutes of meetings. • Assisting in review and confirmation of as-build information. • Assisting the Project manager in updating project control information. • Assisting the Construction Manager with quality control. • Perform general duties / ad-hoc work or provide support as required by Manager(s) and colleagues in the Project team. Required Education and Technical Skills Level • Completed minimum NQF 6: National Diploma or Advanced Certificate in Electrical/ Mechanical / Civil / Boiler Making Engineering or a related field. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) essential. • Ability to work flexible hours. • Good interpersonal and communication skills. • South African Citizen with valid SA ID. • Priority will be given to applicants from neighboring villages to the Site namely Shawela, Mohlabaneng and Ramaroka. Required Soft Skills • Self-starter, quick learner, takes initiative and ownership, eager to learn new things. • Good written and verbal skills, as well as effective communication. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. • Team player and ability to multitask. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Capacity to manage and prioritize time and multiple tasks efficiently, especially when operating under pressure or deadlines. • Personal accountability and ability to maintain confidentiality. • Willing to receive and accept feedback, as well as giving constructive criticism to peers.
