Job Description
We are looking for a Business Director to manage one of our flagship client's media activity in the French market.
The focus of the role is in ensuring that best practice is in place for delivering on brilliant basics, whilst also thinking about how we strategically move our client forward and deliver on their business ambitions for the future.
We will need you to understand how to have depth in market and own this space, whilst also being a team player at a wider group level across EMEA, as well as plugging in globally when required. We expect you and the other market and discipline Directors to work with the Managing Partner to manage the account as a whole, taking accountability where necessary and being curious and proactive to surprise and delight clients.
You will be responsible for the orchestration of the French client and team. To ensure we know what the clients' needs are at all times. To set the agenda for the year, put in place the right WoW and help drive organic growth of our client’s business. To deliver best in class media solutions with proven ROI back to the client.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Responsible and accountable for end-to-end delivery for the French market
- Strategic guidance (short term and long term) against client's objectives, leaning into your MP and Strategy Director for support and guidance.
- Hands on planning for relevant campaigns (e.g. for bigger briefs we expect you to be directly involved).
- Annual & Quarterly planning and reviews.
- Operational responsibility for local delivery and regional and global contribution.
- Management and ownership of key stakeholder relationships, responsibility for stakeholder satisfaction.
- First escalation point for local stakeholders.
- Responsibility for vertical team (workload management, coaching, mentoring).
- Identifying growth opportunities.
- A strong sense of governance.
- Joining the dots. How do the sum of the parts on a complex piece of business come together to deliver on our clients’ needs.
- Hybrid leadership across both client and planning output.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of the media landscape in France: its publishers, tech vendors and consumer behaviours.
- A strong foundation in multimedia planning to drive comms and business outcomes.
- Experience working across a large client that is managing multiple campaigns and products at any one time.
- Experience in delivering brand campaign and performance media briefs with a passion for connecting brand and performance marketing.
- Passion for working across multi-disciplinary teams and galvanising people around a common goal.
