Currently, we are seeking a Municipal Corporate Accounts Director to strengthen our sales team in the municipal distributors sector.
This role will report directly to the Vice President of Business Development and Commercial Operations.
Location: Europe
Your Futures Responsibilities- Take responsibility for developing long-term, collaborative partnerships with key distributors strategic accounts in the European municipal markets.
- Safety - Act as advocate for all aspects of safe practice. Ensures safety of self and others through rigorous use of safe practices and procedures with personal ownership and responsibility.
- Leverage in-depth understanding of markets & customers dynamic to develop joint business plans in line with Solenis business strategy and commercial targets.
- Analyze decision-making process within customer organization and initiates contact at various levels within customer organization (customer relationship management).
- Build strong contacts at senior management levels of account.
- Lead and partner with customers for business strategies implementation and plan execution, conducting regular business reviews.
- Be the face of the company and responsible for all sales, account correspondence, contracts, orders received, new business implementation, troubleshooting, trade shows and follow ups.
- There is initially an approximate 80/20 split between account management and new business sales (including sales and service and consultancy to existing customers).
- Dealing with Technical, Engineering, Buyers and Facility Managers.
- Maintaining appropriate records.
- Comprehensive acquisition and evaluation of relevant market, customer and competition data and maintenance of this data in market information systems (Sales Force & Share point).
- Ensures the flow of information via ongoing reporting and monthly reports.
- Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree, preferably in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering is required.
- Sales experience in the Water Treatment industry and Municipal expertise are required.
- Distributors management experience with the ability to build strong and committed relationships with Distributors.
- Sound technical knowledge of municipal Wastewater Treatment/Sewage Treatment and legislation.
- Fluent English.
- This is a field-based role and frequent travels up to 50% within designated area will be required. The successful candidate must have a valid driving license.
- Customer focus – Ability to fulfil customer needs and expectations. Must be professional and confident with internal and external customers.
- Delivering Results – Deliver against strategic business KPI’s. Passionate about success and delivering operational excellence, whilst sharing best practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels in the organization and with clients (technical, business, executive).
- Ability to manage complex accounts independently as well as to spot and take advantage of commercial opportunities.
