Brand Director, Financial Crime and Compliance

Infopro Digital group are recruiting for a Brand Director, Financial Crime and Compliance on a permanent basis to strengthen the team at our London office for our 1LOD brand.

As the Financial Crime and Compliance (aka “1LOD”) Brand Director, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional financial performance and identifying new product opportunities across our capabilities including News and Commentary, Research, Data, Learning, Events and Marketing Services. You are an action-oriented, results-driven and credible commercial professional with a record of B2B sales. You will also bring inspiration and commercial awareness to the business and can think longer-term yet drive execution tactically and manage the balance between the two. Moreover, you should have a good understanding of the global financial markets and how they are evolving.

What you’ll do

  1. Set brand strategy: Define the brand strategy over the short, medium and long term in line with the company’s strategic and business goals; working closely with the Executive Director.
  2. Meet financial performance targets: Develop and deliver financial and operational plans that reflect the long-term growth objectives and priorities; assume full P&L responsibility for the business including budgeting, setting targets and forecasting of direct and indirect expenses; deliver revenue and EBITDA growth profile by growing subscriber, delegate and marketing services revenues.
  3. Spearhead business development efforts: Generate demand, drive sales and maximize growth for 1LOD’s capabilities by offering unique propositions to banks, asset managers, vendors and other market participants in the ecosystem.
  4. Diversify and scale capabilities: Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to deliver content that appeals to our target audience, while maintaining the highest standards, and to develop products that accelerate growth; identify investments in data and technology to create differentiated solutions for clients and internal capabilities where appropriate.
  5. Provide credible leadership for the team: Provide hands-on, day-to-day management for your direct and extended team including hiring, mentoring and retention; ensure a high level of domain knowledge in order to have meaningful conversations with all market participants.
  6. Support the agenda at the Management Team level: Participate in the strategy formulation process and provide insight as well as, if need be, hands-on leadership to the broader organization.

Requirements

  1. Natural leadership skills, including the ability to influence and motivate team members at all levels.
  2. Deep domain expertise combined with an understanding of B2B information services models, including lead-generation, digital advertising, subscriptions, events (incl. conferences, awards, training, trade-shows), research and data.
  3. Proven commercial experience and strategic mind-set (strong business / commercial acumen as well as analytical capabilities).
  4. Ability to engage with clients, colleagues and multiple stakeholders, forming effective relationships.
  5. Track record for building and leading high-performance teams, including building a strong sales culture.
  6. Able to identify growth areas in the short and long term as well as launch new products – demonstrate a track record in creating value.
  7. A ‘rounded’ and highly-collaborative senior leader, with experience in a similar position, that leads by example and is willing to be hands on as appropriate.
  8. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and within a global matrix organisation.
  9. Proactive, curious, excellent communicator, problem-solver, high-energy, decisive, solutions-driven, results-oriented.

Where you’ll work

This role is based in our London office. Prefer work in a hybrid environment? Not a problem. We have plenty of options for your working preferences with a minimum commitment of three days a week in the office.
